Catch the bus with a teacher over to the neighbouring town of Broadstairs. See where Charles Dickens lived, have a freshly-made ice-cream at Morelli’s and walk along the cliff top before returning back to Margate.  

Why not visit London for the day? There is so much to do, whether you want to see Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, go shopping on Oxford Street, visit the British Museum or just wander around.
