Broadstairs Trip
Catch the bus with a teacher over to the neighbouring town of Broadstairs. See where Charles Dickens lived, have a freshly-made ice cream at Morelli’s and walk along the cliff top before returning back to Margate.

Go to Ramsgate with a teacher and visit this beautiful town and its historical Wartime Tunnels. The tunnels were a shelter during the war for up to 60,000 people. After that, go to the famous harbour and marina for a coffee or Peter’s Fish Factory for award winning Fish & Chips.

Catch the train with a teacher to Canterbury for the afternoon. With its famous cathedral, universities, castle, museums and a great selection of shops, there is always plenty to do. Meet at 13:20 outside the school.

There is so much to do in London, whether you want to see Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, go shopping on Oxford Street, visit the British Museum or just wander around. Meet at the Margate train station at 08:35.

Enjoy a trip to Dover with fellow students to see this town and its famous white cliffs. Enjoy a walk through the high street up the promenade and the port. Afterwards, climb to the top of the cliffs for a great view of France and watch all the ships and ferries travelling across or along the English Channel.

Tonight, the club will be open for what is easily the tastiest event of EiM’s social programme. It’s International Food Evening. This is a great chance to taste food from all over the world. Cook your favourite national dish, bring a snack and try the food that the other students have made.

Catch the train with a teacher and visit Whitstable. Known as the ‘Pearl of Kent’, Whitstable is famous for its oysters, which have been collected in the area since as far back as Roman times. Whitstable’s distinctive character is popular with tourists looking for a great meal, walk or pub.
