In the evening, fancy trying a locally produced beer or cider in a micro-pub? Then join fellow students for a pint at one of the Margate micro-pubs and experience the real British pub atmosphere! It’s a great opportunity to talk to local people and learn more about the British way of life. Meet outside the school at 20:00 and walk down to the Old Town.

Tonight, the club will be open for what is easily the tastiest event of EiM’s social programme. It’s International Food Evening. This is a great chance to taste food from all over the world. cook your favourite national dish, bring a snack and try the food that the other students have made.

Catch the bus with a teacher over to the neighbouring town of Broadstairs. See where Charles Dickens lived, have a freshly-made ice cream at Morelli’s and walk along the cliff top before returning back to Margate.

Enjoy a day trip to Deal and Walmer with fellow students to see their famous castles and sea views. Both towns are walking distance, so have a nice walk by the sea from one town to the other. Alternatively, join fellow students on a trip to Ashford designer village.

Today is a bank holiday which means the school is closed. Why not to go to Jack in the Green festival in Hastings? Jack in the Green is now one of the biggest annual gatherings of Morris Dancers in the country. The Jack is “released” every year and is central to the festival.
