This morning join us at the Hawley Club at 08:45 for Poetry club. A Teacher will recite a poem, and give a brief summary of it’s meaning and the author. Doughnuts will be available to all poetry fans as reward for coming to the school earlier than usual.
Robert will be performing a reading of a classical poem plus one of his own.

The Hawley Club is closed tonight so students have the choice of joining Dave in a trip to the Carlton Cinema. The royal old building was once Westgate’s town hall but is now one of Europe’s cheapest cinemas, an real affordable option with seats costing just £2.50. Why not visit London for the day? There is so much to do, whether you want to see Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, go shopping on Oxford Street, visit the British Museum or just wander around. Why not join a teacher for a day in Rochester, home to Charles Dickens and to the annual Dickensian festival. Packed with shopping stalls, Rochester becomes a feast of Victorian delights. There are lamp-lit parades, carols to be sung, Father Christmas to be met and even a guaranteed snowfall, framed by Rochester’s fairytale cathedral and castle. You’ll also see some familiar, fabled characters from Dickens’ much-loved stories.
