Culver House

Culver House (currently unavailable) provides a very high standard of accommodation for students at English in Margate who require self-catering accommodation next to the school.

Accommodation

Culver House is a two hundred year old town house situated in the centre of the town next to the school.

It is fully furnished and comprises 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 kitchens and a sitting/dining-room and can accommodate up to 6 students at a time.

The house is fully furnished and kitchens come with a high level of equipment. There is Wi-Fi for students wishing to bring their own laptops. There is also a lovely enclosed garden which catches the sun most of the day. Off street parking is available. The property has individually controlled central heating in all rooms. Both fully fitted kitchens are equipped with fridge / freezer, microwave oven, electric oven, toaster, kettle, and washing machine (clothes) The communal kitchen has a tumble-dryer, iron /ironing board and vacuum cleaner. In addition there is a clothes-line in the courtyard. The sitting/dining room has a TV and DVD. There are also board games and books.

Other features

Smoking is not permitted in any part of the building.
Fresh bed linen and towels are provided weekly.
The accommodation is cleaned throughout once a week but guests are expected to maintain a reasonable level of cleanliness.
Private parking is available (supplement payable)
Option of welcome food pack on arrival (supplement payable)
Comprehensive tourist information provided.
Culver House has an integrated fire alarm and smoke detection system and is protected at the front and rear by security cameras.

Tuition

Students staying at Culver House may join any of the Standard or Intensive group courses at English in Margate. Individual lessons are also provided at English in Margate in the afternoons.

Christmas Holidays

English in Margate closes for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year.

Culver House is available during this period.
Individual lessons and tailor made programme can be arranged (excluding the official bank holidays) The tuition fees for this programme would be quoted on request.

All students staying at Culver House are English in Margate students and therefore have access to all the facilities at the school and are welcome to join the social activities and club evenings.
